Throughout my career I have worked with small businesses in various markets including: construction, property management, retail, landscaping, building design, planned residential communities, tourism and more. Company sizes have ranged from one-person operations netting under $100K/year to development projects valued over $38M.
The marketing and customer relations programs I've participated in have successfully increased individual business visibility and revenues. It is personally rewarding for me to help small business owners and managers get organized, try new things and find new opportunities.
Versatility is a valuable asset when selecting a consultant to work with. My experiences have ranged from overseeing the day-to-day operations of a small business to focusing on specific duties (website management, project planning, customer relations). Some other strengths include the ability to work independently and as a team, organization, follow-through, goal-setting and planning.
As you know, peer relationships and community connections are important when marketing a small business...I have established connections with business peers, local media and trade associates that will in turn benefit my clients.
On a personal note, I'm married to Andy Rowlson (22 years now!). We live in Everson with our two great teenagers...Kelsey and Branden. I love gardening and spending time at our cottage on Whidbey Island. To fuel the passion for plants I also operate a seasonal nursery called Farmhouse Flowers. We propagate and sell more than 1,000 plants from this home business each April & May.
